New Classes coming up!

I want to extend a big thank you to Zoe Jakes for the wonderful workshop on Sunday. We all had a great time. And thank you as well to the 7 other BDSS dancers that came with Zoe to take her workshop! It was wonderful to have you at the studio and what a treat it was for the class participants to be dancing in the same class with such talented dancers! It was a fantastic surprise for them! You never know what exciting things area going to happen at Janna’s, so make sure to come to the next workshop!

Class Descriptions
Belly Dance Level I

Basic Belly Dance technique will be taught, focusing on correct dance posture, strengthening movements for the legs, stomach, and arms. Belly Dance Level I is divided into two 6 week sessions, packages A & B, that focus on different movements each week and each session to make your dance experience more relaxed and fun. No dance experience is needed. Wear workout clothes to class such as yoga or sweat pants and a t shirt; no jeans or street clothes, and bear feet or soft soled dance shoes.

Ballroom Dance
Our Ballroom dance classes focus on the social side of Ballroom and are taught at the beginner level. Each 6 week session will focus on only one style of ballroom dance so that you will be able to dance the style when the class is finished. Classes move quickly with many combinations broken down and practiced each week. No partner is required but we do not provide one for you! Please wear smooth bottom shoes (dresss shoes are usually good for this with no rubber soles.

Salsa & Mambo
One of the most dancer friendly of the couple dance styles! Fun, fast, and great exercise. Club style is taught with some 2 step style thrown in. Class format is and dress code is the same as ballroom.
